The Mill was built between 1900 and 1910 and operated for many years as a gas powered flour mill, 100 years later the building has been lovingly restored and converted into a toy and pedal car museum which is widely considered the largest and finest collection of pedal cars in Europe. With exhibits dating from Victorian times, visitors of all ages will enjoy a trip down memory lane as a world in miniature awaits discovery.

Diane Johnson is a fine Ecological Artist whose roots are firmly planted in the soil of Kent.
My work is the landscape; it is about the passage of time, history, decay, regeneration and evolution. It is organic, rural and industrial.
Inspiration for my prints began with the cave art at Lascaux and Altamira. The fascination was not the images, but the colour that had survived for many thousands of years. This began my quest to learn more about how colour was made and used, before it was manufactured. My research took me through time and history, from the Caveman (earth’s) through the Egyptians (flower dyes) and onto the Greeks, (chemistry).

The RNLI is the charity that saves lives at sea
This station at Dungeness operates a carriage-launched Mersey class lifeboat today, requiring shore helpers to launch the lifeboat, the station also had the country's last lady launchers. In 1940 the Dungeness lifeboat Charles Cooper Henderson was also one of 19 lifeboats that took part in the evacuation of forces from Dunkirk.
